Helen Dodd Bickley scrapbook, 1940-1944.

The scrapbook, created by Helen Eloise Dodd Bickley, documents her time as a Penn State student from 1940 to 1944 and her activities directly following graduation. The scrapbook contains photographs of Bickley and her schoolgirl friends throughout their years at Penn State. There are photographs of students involved in military activities, such as WAVES, and portraits of members of the armed forces. There are also several photographs of the Penn State main campus, both from the ground and aerial, that include buildings such as Old Main, the Library, and Atherton Hall.

Helen Eloise Dodd Bickley was a member of the class of 1944. Her father was Captain W.C. Dodd of the U.S. Army. After graduating from Penn State, Bickley joined the news staff of The Express in Easton, Pennsylvania.
